Our client who is a leading textiles manufacturing company in the region, invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the above mentioned position reporting to the Managing Director.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

The duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

(i) Coordinating the designing and implementing internal and external communication, advocacy and media strategies and programmes;

(ii) Providing technical advice to the Company’s staff in areas of public communication and media relations;

(iii) Managing the Company’s public/media affairs;

(iv) Profiling and branding corporate image;

(v) Overseeing the editing of corporate publications and journals for quality control;

(vi) Liaising with the Office of the Managing Director on communication and visibility;

(vii) Spearheading the creation of awareness and enhancing accessibility to information at the Company;

(viii) Developing a publicity framework for purposes of public awareness;

(ix) Overseeing development of customer satisfaction mechanisms;

(i) Keeping and maintaining all public affairs and communications records and photographs; and

(ii) Ensuring staff performance management, training and development in the division.

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience

(i) Served in the grade of Senior Corporate Communications Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years or in a comparable position in the public or private sector;

(ii) Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Journalism, Mass Communication or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

(iii) Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Journalism, Mass Communication or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is an added advantage,

(iv) Certificate in Strategic Leadership Course or Corporate Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;

(v) Be a member to a relevant professional body;

(vi) Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;

(vii) Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capability as reflected in work performance and results.

(iv)Ability to build new business relationships.

(v) Good inter-personal & communication skills

(vi)Good team player and result-oriented.

 

The successful candidates will be required to avail valid certified copies of:

i. Directorate of Criminal Investigation – Certificate of Good Conduct.

ii. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) – Tax Compliance Certificate

iii. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) – Certificate of Clearance

iv. Ethics and Anti – Corruption Commission (EACC) Clearance

v. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Certificate
