Our client, an institution of higher learning in Scientific and Technological Formation based in Nairobi, invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of a Housekeeping Supervisor.

 

Job Requirements:

· Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years working experience as a Housekeeper or similar role;

· Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Housekeeping, Laundry and Front Office Management, Hospitality Management with housekeeping specialization or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.

· Be a person of excellent organizational and team management skills

· Demonstrate hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations

· Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products

· Have the Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job and flexibility to work in shifts

· Be computer literate.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Training housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks

· Overseeing staff on a daily basis

· Checking rooms and common areas, including lecture halls, offices, hostels, ablution blocks, library and any other areas, for cleanliness

· Scheduling shifts and arranging for replacements in cases of absence

· Establishing and educating staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards

· Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job

· Respond to customer complaints and special requests

· Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock; and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
