Job Overview

1. Plan, organize, and control the operations of a transportation division of the company.
2. Receive orders and bookings and implement a transportation schedule.
3. Organize shipping documentation and supervise the scheduling and dispatching of goods and the tracking of the tracing of goods in transit.
4. Organize maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel
5. Communicate with clients and propose transport solutions that meet their needs.
6. Maintain records, operational statements, and reports
7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations
8. Set performance goals, monitor the transportation service rates and revenue

Mandatory Requirements and Skill Requirements

1. Degree in Logistics or Business management or Automotive Engineering or related field
2. At least five years’ experience as a transportation manager
3. Willingness and ability to travel.
4. Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
6. Language skills required: Fluent English, and Swahili
7. Mastery of Microsoft office including excellent proficiency with Outlook, strong Excel, and work skills.
